At the highest levels, no vote, committee, or adviser can absorb the final responsibility. The leader must sign alone.

True North
Leadership attracts collaboration but demands singular accountability. The hardest decisions — war or peace, restructure or stability, truth or comfort — rest with the leader alone.

Others may advise, but none can carry the ultimate weight.

Compass Point
The loneliest weight of power is final responsibility.
