Many pursue leadership, chasing the perks. Few remain in it once they face the cost.

Leadership is often romanticized — as influence, charisma, or triumph. But authentic leadership strips away illusions: it exposes limits, reveals flaws, and demands sacrifice. The best leaders are not those who cling to myths about power, but those who lead with eyes wide open.
